Radisson’s Net Zero Hotels to ‘Future Proof’ Against Rising Energy Costs

As the Iran war drives oil prices above $100 per barrel and disrupts global energy supply, Radisson Hotel Group is pitching net zero hotels as a way for owners to cut their reliance on fossil fuels and limit exposure to price spikes.

Speaking ahead of the 2026 International Hospitality Investment Forum in Berlin on Monday, the company said it plans to roll out 100 verified net zero hotels by 2030. It pointed to early results from two pilot properties in Manchester and Oslo.

Both hotels were existing Radisson properties that the company converted into what it calls net zero hotels before reopening in May last year.

Radisson said the hotels have since delivered higher revenue and strong guest demand.

‘Future-Proofing’

By introducing these new net zero hotels, Radisson is making a cost and risk argument, not just a climate one.
